TOUR: Tour guests will have the opportunity to visit ME Elecmetal’s Duluth operations — a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance wear solutions for the mining, aggregate, and industrial sectors. Located in Duluth, this facility plays a key role in supporting industries that power infrastructure and resource development around the world. ME Elecmetal combines advanced metallurgy, innovative engineering, and precision manufacturing to produce durable components that help customers improve productivity and extend equipment life. During the tour, guests will gain insight into modern foundry operations, advanced manufacturing processes, and the skilled workforce that helps drive both regional economic impact and global supply chains.

ABOUT OUR PRESENTER:  As Director of the City of Duluth’s Workforce Development Department, Elena Foshay leads development and implementation of workforce strategy, employer services, and programs for jobseekers.  Her roots are in youth development and social work, with close to 20 years of experience designing and implementing workforce development programs.  She holds a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Community Economic Development, both from the University of California – Berkeley.
